PRESIDENCY: BUHARI SUBMITS 28 NAMES FOR SENATE CONFIRMATION

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent names of 28 nominees for Senate’s confirmation as Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He made this known in a letter addressed to the National Assembly which was read by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, during plenary on Thursday.

The nominations followed the recent expiration of the tenures of RECs in 28 states.
