The governor’s nomination forms were handed to him yesterday after being purchased on his behalf by members of the State House of Assembly and Borno state National Assembly members led by Senator Ali Ndume.
Governor Shettima reportedly thanked the legislators for their kind gesture and promised to deliver more dividends of democracy.
Borno state has been plagued by attacks from terrorist sect, Boko Haram with some of its communities being annexed by the group and being formed into a "caliphate."
