MOB FORCES MILITARY OFF YOBE BOMBING SCENE

Potiskum - Members of the military have reportedly fled angry residents incensed by the spate of bombings in Postikum, Yobe State.

The flare of tempers followed the death of 47 students and the injury of about 80 others when a suicide bomb detonated at the Government Science Secondary School on Monday.
According to police, the suicide bomber disguised as a student blew self-up at the school's assembly ground.
Angry mobs protested the second suicide bombing in the spate of a week by mocking the soldiers.

The military had come to the school to rescue the injured students and convey the corpses to the hospital.
“We are better off without you. We do not want you again in our town, you are useless to us,” read a placard from the irate crowd.
According to our correspondent, soldiers sped off the scene.
Contacted moments after the incident, the Yobe state Commissioner of Police, Markus Danladi, who confirmed the bombing, said he was on his way to the scene of the incident as he had no details.
