Singapore court upholds anti-gay law

Singapore’s highest court on Wednesday dismissed a constitutional challenge against an archaic law criminalising sex between men, striking a fresh blow to the city-state’s growing gay-rights movement.
The Court of Appeal upheld rulings by lower courts that it was up to Parliament to repeal the provision in the penal code, known as Section 377A.
“Whilst we understand the deeply held personal feelings of the appellants, there is nothing that this court can do to assist them,” judges Andrew Phang, Belinda Ang and Woo Bih Li said in a written verdict.
“Their remedy lies, if at all, in the legislative sphere,” the judges said.
The ruling addressed two separate challenges to the law.
One was by Tan Eng Hong, who was arrested after being caught with a male partner in a public toilet cubicle in 2010, while the other was filed by a gay couple.
The judges said they only considered “legal arguments” and not “extra-legal considerations and matters of social policy which were outside the remit of the court”.
According to the judges, examples of extra-legal arguments put forward by the appellants’ lawyers included that Section 377A represented “the tyranny of the majority” and that the sexual conduct of their clients caused no harm to others.
However judges said such arguments were not for the courts to consider
In a statement, Tan’s lawyer M. Ravi said the judgment was a “huge step backwards for human rights in Singapore”.
Ravi added that it was “disturbing” that “the Supreme Court has now thrown this issue back to Parliament, when other Commonwealth countries have struck down this legislation as discriminatory and (an) absurd relic of the colonial past”.
Section 377A, first introduced in 1938 by British colonial administrators, carries a maximum penalty of two years in jail for homosexual acts.
The law states: “Any male person who, in public or private, commits, or abets the commission of, or procures or attempts to procure the commission by any male person of, any act of gross indecency with another male person, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years.”
Alhough Section 377A is not actively enforced, the government has said it should stay on the books because most Singaporeans are conservative and do not accept homosexuality.
A scientific survey conducted by researchers at the Nanyang Technological University in 2010 and published last year found Singaporeans’ views towards homosexuality gradually becoming more positive compared to attitudes in 2005.
The study found religion a major factor determining attitudes towards homosexuals, with Muslims and Christians being the most negative.
But the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) rights movement is growing steadily in Singapore, one of the world’s wealthiest and most modern cities.
Over 20,000 people gathered in a peaceful rally supporting gay rights last June despite a fierce online campaign against the event by conservative Muslims and Christians.

GENEVIVE VS OMOTALA

<b>Omotola Vs Genevieve By the Numbers</b>

Ask anybody in the Nigerian music industry and they’ll tell you that it is a cut-throat world, in the sense that competition is rife amongst all involved in Nollywood, be it record labels, marketers, entourages or the actors themselves. Competition is definitely one of the things that keep the industry going. ESSENTIALS examines two of Nollywood’s most talked about actresses who have earned more than their fair share of bragging rights. Nollywood’s story won’t be complete without tales of their supposed rivalry and who is better. We set their statistics side by side – not judging.
Genevieve Nnaji
Born Genevieve Nnaji on May 3, 1979, Genevieve started her acting career as a child actress in the then-popular television soap opera Ripples, at the age of eight. She was also featured in several commercials, among which were some for beverage brand Pronto and detergent Omo. In 1998, at the age of 19, she took her first big step in acting with her debut movie Most Wanted.
Her subsequent movies Last Party, Mark of the Beast and Ijele endeared the Imo State-born actress to movie lovers everywhere.
In 2002, she starred in the movie Sharon Stone and after its release; it is safe to say that Nnaji’s reign as one of Nigeria’s top actresses began.
Nnaji doesn’t just appeal to Nigerians alone. She can count many Kenyans, Liberians, South Africans and Ghanaians, who are avid followers and dedicated lovers of Nigerian home videos, both home and abroad, as her fans.
Not only is ‘Genny’ (as she is fondly called) an actress, she is also a fashion designer. She launched her clothing line St. Genevieve in 2008. Though much hasn’t been heard about the clothing line, she did promise, at its launch, to donate a percentage of its proceeds to charity.
In 2009, Nnaji made history by being the first Nigerian actress to be profiled on The Oprah Winfrey Show, on an episode about the most popular people around the world. As one of the highest-paid and most desired actresses in Nollywood, Nnaji is also referred to as “Nigeria’s Julia Roberts”.
She has featured in over 80 films in the course of her acting career, but she will be best remembered for her roles in Ijé: The Journey, Mirror Boy, Half of a Yellow Sun, Most Wanted, Blood Sisters among many. She has endorsed companies such as Etisalat Nigeria, Lux Soap, MUD Cosmetics, among others, with some still on-going.
In an ill-advised attempt to, perhaps, branch out, Nnaji ventured into music, with the album One Logologo Line, with the most notable number from the album being No More.
Nnaji is also not immune to controversies. Her seemingly eternal single status has been fodder for many gossip blogs and magazines. The ‘lesbian’ rumours surrounding her seems to keep rearing its ugly head and her perceived rivalry with Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is also the stuff of legends.
In recognition of her contribution to Nollywood, Nnaji was awarded the national merit award of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2011. Nnaji has also won various awards, including the Africa Movie Academy Award for best actress in a leading role and the City People Awards for Best Actress.

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde
Born Omotola Jalade on February 7, 1978, Ekeinde made her acting debut in the movie Venom of Justice in 1995. Since then she has appeared in over 300 movies. She came to limelight after she starred in the critically acclaimed movie Mortal Inheritance.
Also, Ekeinde doesn’t just appeal to Nigerians alone; she enjoys a large international following. The actress has won awards in almost all the continents of the world.
Not only is ‘Omosexy’ (as she is fondly called) an actress, she is also a singer, philanthropist and former model. The actress who became a United Nations WFP (World Food Programme) Ambassador in 2005 has also been active in the Walk the World Project and participated in the Walk the World Campaign in Liberia, with President Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson. Ekeinde is known as a fierce human rights campaigner and her philanthropic efforts are centred on her NGO, Omotola Youth Empowerment Programme (OYEP). Ekeinde became an Amnesty International campaigner in 2011 and has participated in campaigns in Sierra Leone (on maternal mortality) and Nigeria’s Niger Delta region.
She also takes advantage of the social media to connect with her fans and share her own unique views with the rest of the world. Ekeinde is regarded as the first African celebrity to receive over 1 million likes on her Facebook page.
In 2013, she was honoured in Time Magazine’s list of the ‘100 most influential people in the world’ alongside Michelle Obama, Beyonce and Kate Middleton.
In 2012, CNN Travel noted Ekeinde’s famous accent on their list of the ‘world’s 12 sexiest accents’, with the Nigerian accent ranked 5th on the list. She is also regarded as the first Nigerian celebrity to star in their own reality show – her reality show Omotola: The Real Me was launched in 2012 on Africa Magic Entertainment, a subsidiary of M-Net, broadcast on DStv.
In early 2013, Ekeinde made her US television debut in VH1’s scripted series, Hit the Floor. Some of her most prominent films include Ijé: The Journey, Last Flight to Abuja, Amina and Mirror Boy and Blood Sisters. She has endorsed products of Ghadour Cosmetics, online store Konga, Hollandia, Proctor & Gamble, amongst others, with some of these endorsements still on going.
Ekeinde has proved to be more versatile when it comes to music. She released her debut album GBA in 2005. The singles Naija L’owa and The Things you do to Me were included in the album. Her sophomore album Me, Myself, and Eyes was released soon after.
Ekeinde has managed to remain scandal-free throughout her career. The only time controversy was added to her name was when she lashed out at journalists who labeled some of her 12-year old daughter’s photos “sexy”.
Omotola is married and is a proud mother of four lovely children.
In recognition of Ekeinde’s contribution to Nollywood, she was conferred with a chieftaincy title in her home-state of Ondo. She has also won various awards, including the Ebony Vanguard Award, the Screen Nation’s award for Best Actress, Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, the ELOY Award for Actress of the Year and a host of others.

Omotola, Genevieve, Others Unite To ‘Stop Ebola’ In Africa

Click for Full Image Size
The African continent has been battling with the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) scourge and only recently was Nigeria declared an Ebola-free country by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The deadly disease found its way into the country after a Liberian American named Patrick Sawyer, who was believed to be an Ebola patient, entered Nigeria for a summit in Calabar, Cross River State. Shortly after arriving Lagos, he was rushed to a hospital, but later died and threw Nigeria into panic.
The Federal and Lagos State governments battled hard to win the war against the virus. Though few persons died in Nigeria of the disease, but many who were infected were cured.
Ahead of the 2014 edition of the annual and prestigious ‘The Future Awards Africa’ (TFAA) has announced Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Asa Elemide and others for its global campaign to get 1million young Africans to act against Ebola in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
To this effect, the #StopEbola campaign has been launched and will be led by TFAA Young Person of the Year 2013, Ashish Thakkar.
The #StopEbola campaign will get young Africans to support WHO by donating social media updates and a minimum of $25 between now and the awards date via the www.stopebola.com portal.
According to a statement made available to Nigeriafilms.com, the funds go directly to the United Nations Ebola Response Fund.
Speaking on the initiative, Genevieve said, “Ebola has been defeated in Nigeria.” She added that, “This shows that with the will and resources it can be defeated anywhere else. We need to get involved beyond talk and beyond sympathy. As long as it remains anywhere in Africa, we are all at risk, and we can come together to stop this from happening. Join me, and join all of us now.”
In the same vein, Omotola said, “This goes to the core of what is important to me, and what should be important to all of us who are very concerned about our continent.
“Just when the world has begun to pay attention to Africa as a destination for rapid growth and investment, we cannot allow Ebola define the narrative. We need to put a stop to this immediately, and young people need to take the lead.”
Others expected to join in the campaign include 2Face Idibia, Van Vicker, Joselyn Dumas, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Dayo Israel, Denrele, Dakore Akande, Juliet Ibrahim, Funke Akindele, Omoni Oboli, Ohimai Atafo, Joseph Benjamin, Ice Prince, MI Abaga, Omawumi, Waje, Lynxx, Yemi Adamolekun, Gbenga Sesan, Kunle Afolayan, Osas Ighodaro, Yegwa Ukpo and Kathleen Ndongmo.
The Future Awards Africa holds on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Intercontinental Hotels in Lagos.

NADIA BUARI SICK OF EBOLA

The ongoing Ebola menace in this side of Africa has indeed caused panic amongst citizens of affected countries and it’s neighboring, meanwhile education on the killer disease has been destabilized.
Sadly, passionate actress Nadia Buari has been affected by the inability of authorities to provide essential education on the disease, this prompted her to enlighten her social media following on Ebola.
Also in a short video Nadia Buari entreats everyone to Prevent, Protect and Project, she sturdily believes Africa will rise above Ebola.
She also implores other African celebrities to apply their influence to educate their fans on the disease.

Obasanjo killed students' unionism says Pastor Bakare

The Convener of Save Nigeria Group and the General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has accused former President Olusegun Obasanjo of killing students' unionism in the country when he was the military Head of State in 1978.
He made the allegation at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, on Monday. The occasion was the 2014 anniversary of the International Day of Students. He said Obasanjo, as the then Head of State in 1978, used brute force to repress the students during the 'Ali Must Go' protest.
Some students were killed in the protest. One of them was Akintunde Ojo.
Delivering a paper titled, “Good Governance: Sustainability of Democracy, the Role of Students in the Forthcoming General Elections,” Bakare said it was unfortunate that students' unionism had been hijacked by unserious students.
He added that not only had students' unionism fallen from its pinnacle of intellectual doggedness and ideological astuteness, it had also lost its activist steam, become a mere appendage of ruling political parties and a tool in the hands of corrupt politicians.
Tracing the history of students' unionism from the colonial days, he noted that it suffered a fatal blow in 1978.
He said, “General Olusegun Obasanjo's government ordered the brutal suppression of that protest. Live bullets were unleashed on protesting students. As we proceeded outside the University of Lagos main gate, I narrowly escaped death, as Akintunde Ojo, the young man standing just beside me, was gunned down.
“Through that incident, Obasanjo carved his name on marble as a villain of democracy.
“I did not mince words when opportunity presented itself in November of 1978, when I pointed to his face and said, 'This government possesses power without compassion, might without morality and strength without sight.'”
While arguing that students' unionism had been hijacked by never-do- wells, he said the height of this fall was the conferment of the title “Defender of Democracy” on Obasanjo in 2005 by students' body.
He said, “The apotheosis of the perfidious degeneration of students' unionism occurred in 2005, when the National Association Nigerian Students decorated Gen. Obasanjo as a 'Defender of Democracy.' Yes, the same Obasanjo who masterminded the brutal repression of unarmed students who were merely registering their displeasure over hike in fees.”
Bakare also frowned on the role played by students' leaders in the botched third term bid of Obasanjo. He said NANS shamelessly campaigned for Obasanjo's life presidency agenda.
He said, “In essence, Obasanjo killed students' unionism in Nigeria. As a military Head of State, he killed National Union of Nigerian Students by brutal repression and proscription.
“When Obasanjo returned as civilian president, he killed NANS and made it a shadow of itself.
“Upon the foundation of corruption of students' unionism, NANS has become weak and factionalised in subsequent administrations.”
He then called on the student body to embark on a journey of rebirth to return to the good old days of student activism.
“You must rid yourselves of cultism and other self-destructive tendencies and take back students' unionism from hoodlums and charlatans.
“You must restore students' unionism to its glorious days. After undergoing such a rebirth, the students' union must become a shining light to the dark polity,” he said.
The state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, at the event, warned the students to shun politicians who might want to use them for thuggery before, during and after the general elections.
He said, “Don't allow any politician to manipulate you or use you for election violence. Tell them when they come to you to go and use their own children.”

CBN meets bank MDs as naira crashes

Click for Full Image Size
The naira, which has been under pressure in the last few weeks, on Monday crashed against the dollar to N173.20 at the interbank market, causing panic in the financial sector.
There are also indications that this has prompted the Central Bank of Nigeria to call all bank chief executive officers to a meeting in Abuja in a bid to save the naira from further crashing.
A top CBN official, who spoke under the condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, said, 'The CBN is trying to employ moral suasion now since efforts to prop up the naira in the last few weeks have not brought any result. The CBN is trying to meet the bank CEOs to persuade them to take measures and actions that will bring the naira up.
'The CBN believes that some banks are advising their customers that have major future obligations to bring them forward because they don't know what the exchange rate will be in January. They want them to assure their customers that nothing will happen to the naira in the near future.'
Analysts believe that aside investors who have brought their obligation forward, the activities of speculators and foreign portfolio investors have combined to increase the demand for dollars at the interbank level.
'The activities of speculators as well as foreign portfolio investors are bringing up the naira. This is the time the CBN needs to come up and tell us the outlook for the currency. They also need to stop the 10k spread for sale to counterparties,' a forex dealer, who spoke under condition of anonymity, said.
The naira last traded above N173 mark in February this year when President Goodluck Jonathan suspended the former Governor of the CBN, Mallam Lamido Sanusi, analysts said.
It traded at N169 to the dollar on Friday. It however fell by about N4 on Monday, barely 24 hours after the Federal Government unveiled new austerity measures aimed at cushioning the effects of the falling oil prices on the economy.
Financial and money market analysts said the market was reacting to the new string of austerity measures unveiled by the Economic Management Team on Sunday.
'The market is reacting to the new string of austerity measures unveiled by the Federal Government on Sunday; the demand for dollar is very high now,' an Ecobank analyst, Mr. Kunle Ezun, said. 'Nigeria is an oil-dependent nation and anything that happens to the oil revenue will affect the economy. Investors and market operators are factoring some of the new measures into their plans; this is why you see the naira falling by such a big margin a day after the announcement,' he added.
Money market sources revealed that the naira closed at N173.20 on Monday, despite the CBN's intervention at the foreign exchange market to prop up the currency.
The CBN, it was learnt, asked banks to bid for $2m each in a move to shore up the local currency, but the lenders avoided the forex auction as the central bank was restricting the re-sale margins to curb speculation.
The naira has gone through difference comport levels at the interbank market in the last few weeks, trading between N167 and N172 to the dollar, according to market analysts.
Ezun said, 'It is like the naira is trying to find a new comfort level at above N170 to the dollar now. It used to be around N168 and N169. I, however, believe as the CBN comes up to assure the market, the naira may appreciate back at the interbank level soon.'
But the Ecobank analyst warned that the CBN would 'need to act as quickly as possible. They need to bring it back to below N170.'
'The CBN is empowered to support the naira. It will not allow it flow freely. If it does, it will lead to huge depreciation or devaluation.'
An analyst at Afrinvest West Africa Limited, Mr. Ayodeji Ebo, said he was not surprised by the CBN's action, noting that it 'is implied devaluation at the interbank market. It is not looking at devaluation but depreciation; this may lead to depreciation. Demand at the interbank has risen significantly at the interbank level and I am not sure they can curtail that demand.' Punch

Open Letter to Christians in Nigeria and All Over the World on SCOAN

BY:THE CHRISTIAN WALK

“You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed….” ---Deuteronomy 18: 21-22.
“Should you say to yourselves, “How can we recognize that a word is one the LORD has not spoken? If a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD but the word does not come true, it is a word the LORD did not speak. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not fear him…”---Deuteronomy 18: 21-22(New American Bible Version).
This is my last and final missive to Christendom on Mr. Temitope Balogun Joshua and his demonic congregation. After this article, I will not comment on either this man or his activities until 2017 as I have stated in previous articles on him and his satanic activities. If you have a friend, colleague, neighbor, an acquaintance, son, daughter, uncle, brother, mother father, buddy, or any relative that attends any branch of SCOAN anywhere in the world, inform him/her or them of what you have read in this column. My duty as a redeemed child of the Living God and His anointed genuinely called into His ministry is to warn the unwary, the ignorant and the deceived. I do not need to repeat it for the umpteenth time; Mr. Temitope Balogun Joshua is NOT a genuine man of God but a high Satanist indwelled by demonic spirits with the ability to perform miracles and wonders. His so-called SCOAN is not a Holy Spirit-anointed church and all of you that are worshipping there are being deceived and led astray.
As the Sovereign Lord God Almighty instructed us His genuine messengers in Ezekiel 3: 17-19: “"Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman to the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me. When I say to a wicked person, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. Yet if you have warned the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered yourself.…”Furthermore, the Lord God Almighty, the King of kings and Lord of lords stated in Ezekiel 33: 8: “When I say to the wicked, 'You wicked person, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.” I have discharged my obligation and duty as a man of God to all worshippers at Temitope Joshua’s demonic enclave. As I pointed out last week in this column in my open letter to Mr. Temitope Balogun Joshua that between now 2014 and 2017, there won't be any ministry called and known as the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) any more, I am repeating same for the last and final time. If this so-called satanic ministry you currently worship survives beyond 2017, then the Lord God Almighty hasn't called me as a man of God. This is how those of you who will ignore this warning will know that I-Moshood Ademola Fayemiwo-am a genuine man of God truly called by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; between now and 2017, what has never occurred in Nigeria will take place for the first time in Nigeria's history; a devastating earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter Scale will swallow the whole of that enclave where you congregate among yourselves and with Mr. Temitope Balogun Joshua as your demonic leader and where he deceives spiritually-ignorant people at Ejigbo in Lagos, Nigeria. Nothing will be salvaged and it will be widely reported in the local newspapers and all over the world. This is the distinctive sign for you reading this letter as a follower of TB Joshua to know that there is a Greater One in me-the Holy Spirit-than Satan and his demons that are in Mr. TB Joshua. Here is what the Holy Spirit says I should tell you as a follower of Mr. TB Joshua at the Synagogue of Satan: "At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven." (Revelation 11: 13). Now about you who are reading this open letter and dismiss it because you're already sucked in by Mr. Temitope Balogun Joshua's enchantment, I have discharged my spiritual responsibility to you; by warning you of the day of terror and anguish coming on the Synagogue of Satan at Ejigbo, Lagos, Nigeria. You ignore this prophetic warning at your eternal peril. Mr. Temitope Balogun Joshua is spiritually finished and his house of cards and demon are coming to naught.
FROM MY MAIL BAG THIS WEEK
Dear Dr Moshood Fayemiwo, I thank you so much for enlightening us about what is happening at the Synagogue Church of All Nations- SCOAN. I have been there once but to be precise, I don't understand the church that's why I stopped and am not convinced by the preaching going on in that church. I admire your great command of the scripture. May the Lord God Almighty continue to multiply you both physically and spiritually in Jesus name Amen--- Nnamdi Bernard Leonard. Omnia Academy Favara Agrigento Italy
Dear Mr. Leonard thanks for your letter. It’s good that you allowed the Holy Spirit to minister into you so you will understand the spirit that is at work at that demonic enclave known as the Synagogue. Majority of the people going to TB Joshua’s hose of demons aren’t interested in God’s salvation but looking for quick answers to their problems. TB Joshua knows and that is why he has bewitched these gullible souls with his enchantments and deceptive miracles. As our Lord Jesus Christ Himself warned us in Mark 13: 22-23: “For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance.” Your duty and mine is to warn these people and pray for them so that they can leave this demonic enclave and give their lives genuinely to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
---------------------------------------------------------------.
In mid-2013 I was drawn to your column having previously brushed it off. I have read all non-political articles in your column several times over. There is power in your write-ups and they are Holy Spirit filled. You are an excellent teacher. You will never know how many lives you have touched and improved. Taste and see that the Lord is good.....We (readers) have to pass on your column to others for their salvation and spiritual growth. God Bless you brother in Christ – May the Lord God continue to bless you in the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen---Mr. M. A. North East London, UK
Thanks Mr. M.A. Good to hear that lives are being saved and many more are spiritually enlightened by what the Holy Spirit is doing in this column. This is what He has called me to do and I am eternally grateful to be used for His utmost Highest.
----------------------------------------------------------------.
Dear Sir, I want to say thanks for your expose of Mr. Temitope Balogun Joshua and hos SCOAN. The thing is as a body of Christ, and someone with the zeal and passion for God we should be praying for God to root out the weeds. I will join in this prayer but also, that when the Judgment of God falls let there be no casualties. One more thing; when God calls people he may have a witness. This is not to say that God called TB Joshua. No! When God called me, he called me alone. God calls people alone. The reason my wife knew before we got married was because God showed her even before I knew we were going to get married. Albeit, good point, not only TB Joshua but all other fake churches in and around the world. Thanks and God bless!
Mr. Toate Ganago (location undisclosed).
Dear Mr. Ganago, I never wrote that when a human being is called by the Lord God Almighty, He calls people in twos, what I wrote is that when the Lord of lords and King of kings calls any person into ministry, He demonstrates your calling by showing you and other people witnesses as proofs of your calling. Please go back to that article and re-read again paying special attention to the 7 requirements that any genuine man or human of God called by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ must fulfill. Satan and his demons too also call people to demonic ministry like Mr. TB Joshua. Your wife was your witness to God’s calling on your life. The Sovereign Lord of the heavens and the universe including all that are in them does not do things concerning the issues of salvation and eternity in secret. The Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ was not done in secret and His Resurrection was not done in secret either as Acts 1: 2-3 told us: “…until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen. After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.” Thanks for your feedback.
--------------------------------------------------------------.
Dear Sir, It is my joy to write you and congratulate you on your recent article titled: “Babylon the Great Is Fallen Is Fallen and Has Become a Dwelling Place of Demons":-Open Letter To Mr. Temitope Balogun Joshua Of Synagogue Of Satan, Ejigbo, Lagos, Nigeria of Saturday November 1, 2014. I am a Christian and born and brought up in the true Bible way. I have been saying the same thing about this man called Temitope Joshua of SCOAN and his satanic ministry anywhere I have the opportunity to speak and discuss with people. Most time it has been war because, most people blindly believe and follow this man and any opposition to this kind of people will always be concluded by his spiritually-ignorant followers and defenders saying; “Touch not my anointed and speak not of a man of God badly.” I have read as well a couple of your articles but, this last one is a master stroke that has destroyed this satanic man and his church of devil. Dear Sir. Thank you sir for all your spiritually uplifting articles and may the Lord God Almighty continue to strengthen you. Nigerian needs people like you to enlighten them. Because of their greed and wickedness, the only thing they now know is miracle forgetting what Jesus told His disciples in the bible in( Luke-10:20). However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. No one seeks for eternity again both their followers and their so- called general overseers; all they want is the world and the things in the world: money. Tell the so- called pastors and general overseers what is in the book of (Jeremiah-23:22) and again what happened in the Acts of Apostles, Chapter-8:9-20) about Simon the sorcerer. All miracles are not from the Lord God Almighty. In the early days when Pentecostal churches started in Nigeria without all these fake miracles that is everywhere now and their preaching of prosperity, no one cared for them. Because they were telling the truth then, the real word of the Jehovah Lord God Almighty, but now the native doctors have gone into the world disguising with their bible to make money rituals for them. Everybody is now going to what they think is a Pentecostal church but are not. God, please save us from the love of money. You cannot serve God and money at the same time. Don’t deceive yourselves please. (Matthew-6:19-34)---Mr. Charles Uzoma (location undisclosed).
Thank you Mr. Uzoma for your enlightenment. We should continue to pray that the spiritual eyes of people will be opened and their darkened heats will be enlightened by the word of God. Ours is to warn and enter into intercessory prayers on behalf of the wicked souls but ultimately, it’s the Holy Spirit that can convict people of their sins and liberate them from the demonic chokehold of Satan. Thanks for your letter.

Dear Dr Fayemiwo, I have been an avid reader of your column articles and recently the report about synagogue church in Nigeria. It was good news to us because we knew all along that T.B Joshua was not called by God because by their fruit you shall know them. Many believers have abandoned the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and set out on a journey of perdition. Many Christians today are not interested in studying the Bible and therefore are easily deceived and manipulated. Here was an interview granted by another pastor in Nigeria by one of the Nigerian national dailies. The Sun newspaper, Sunday, November 9, 2014.and titled -When I started this ministry I had only N20 in my pocket -Reverend Chukwuma Peters). This particular so-called man of God made a similar statement like T.B Joshua. --- He was asked this question by the reporter: How did you receive your calling? Here was his answer as recorded by the reporter:
“I think God gave me a calling into the ministry right from the womb. So, His calling upon my life is in-born. I was born towards the end of the Civil War. As soon as I was born, I was taken to the missionaries in the forest where they baptized me and named me Peter. The name was against my parents' choice because they wanted to name me Joseph. But the missionaries said no, insisting that my name must be Peter, "for he will head God's people." That was prophetic. Even, in the village in those days, people used to call me "apostle." So, I kept on growing and growing until Jesus came into my life, despite the fact that I was not ready to serve Him. But I yielded when I had an eye accident and became blind. It was on hospital bed in Onitsha, Anambra State, that the Lord appeared to me in a dream, opened my eyes and asked me to serve Him. Ever since then, I joined the process of serving Him which began with giving my life to Him, growing in the process and maturing in the process until my ministry grew into what it is today.”
Almost every person who runs a building in the name of a church is called by God in Nigeria. Thank you for your direction in telling our people the truth from the throne of Grace and may the Lord God almighty continue to protect you as his oracle.
Sincerely yours--- Mr. Davidson Smith Germany (email and telephone contacts for privacy reason).
